Boucaniers Unit

The original hunters of Hispaniola, the Boucaniers were the predecessors of both the French Flibustiers and English Freebooters. These rough-living woodsmen of mainly French origin were renowned for their deadly accuracy with a musket — a skill honed stalking wild cattle through dense Caribbean jungle. It wasn't long before their enterprising spirit turned to raiding passing Spanish ships, typically from canoes and small watercraft.
